Template:DKClevelbox Rope Bridge Rumble is the twenty-second level of the popular video game, Donkey Kong Country, and the twenty-first in the Game Boy Advance remake. It is also the sixth and final level of the Gorilla Glacier area, and the fifth level in the remake.

Taking place in the first treetop village since Tree Top Town, the Kongs will be up to the challenge of using tires to cross numerous abysses. However, many of these tires are on moving platforms, making them hard to reach at times. Also, the level is cluttered with the common enemies, Zingers, who will be found all over the areas of the stage, mainly around the tires. These foes can get in the way while the monkeys move along on the tires, and even knock them off into the trees below. Along with many Zingers are Kritters and Armies. These dangerous foes can be found on flat areas and rope-bridges of the level. Though the level can be tough for the heroes, Winky the Frog will appear here to help out.

Level Layout

When they begin the level, the Kongs must head east and cross a small abyss with a bouncy tire. On the other side of this abyss, they will need to drop down to a lower part of the area and defeat two Armies. When they are beat, the heroes must use a tire to bounce to a high area and cross another abyss with the next tire. They can also drop into the gap to grab the letter K, although they risk getting hit by a Zinger when this is done. After this area, the monkeys will have to drop down to a lower area again and jump over an small abyss with a tire. On the other end of this gap, they must jump up to a higher area and cross a few gaps, one with a Zinger around it. Eventually, the group will find a very wide abyss. To cross it, they must use several platforms and tires, though trying to avoid dangerous Zingers as they move along. After jumping over another small abyss, they will find the Star Barrel.

Halfway through the level, the heroes must cross another small abyss, where the letter O is found. If they travel a little farther, they will have to defeat some Kritters and cross another abyss nearby, surrounded by two more Kritters. The monkeys will soon need to use moving tire platform to grab the letter N and get over a small pit. Once this is done, they will find another wide pit. With more moving tire platforms, they must bounce a long distance in the air above a small platform. After they jump over some Zingers in this area, the heroes will reach solid ground again and need to journey over a small abyss, defeating two Kritters and getting the letter G. From this point, Donkey and Diddy will reach yet another wide abyss. Three moving tire platforms and skill will get the monkeys over this gap. When they do get over it, they will be greeted by a small Army, who must be defeated. Once this is done, they will reach another pit. Another tire platform must be used to cross it, while the heroes jump over a wall of three Zingers. When this abyss is crossed, the heroes will find the exit sign. They must travel a little farther to exit the level.

Bonus Level(s)

  • At the beginning of the level, the Kongs should come up to the second pit they see and jump in it. They will land in a barrel. It will shoot them into a Bonus Level, where they must bounce off many tire platforms and collect bananas. At the end of the stage is a crate with Winky in it. The Kongs should get on the Animal Buddy and exit the stage through a small door.
  • Right before the last pit, the heroes will be traveling over another abyss with several tires and platforms. As they go, they will see a lone banana in the air. If they jump up to it, they will land in a barrel, shooting them to a Bonus Level. There, they must hit three barrels, all containing a moving image, so that the pictures of Animal Tokens on them all match. When this match is made, the heroes will be awarded with a certain Animal Token and be taken out of the special stage.
