Template:Levelbox Krow's Nest is the boss level of Gangplank Galleon, the first world of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. The Kongs must face Krow in order to reach the second world, Crocodile Cauldron. Krow's Nest is a pun on crow's nest, the lookout post of a ship, and similarly, Krow's Nest is the one of Gangplank Galleon.

Krow's Nest takes place at a mast on the peak of Gangplank Galleon, with the top of a sail acting as a floor. There are two Banana Bunch Coins hiding above his nest, and the Kongs can reach it by performing Team-Up.

Battle

The Krow battle in the level Krow's Nest.
The boss fight in the Game Boy Advance version

As the battle starts, Krow flies up to its nest and takes out an egg. He tosses the egg on the ground, and it slowly bounces in the direction of Diddy and Dixie Kong, gradually bounces lower with until it stops. Both Kongs must avoid the egg from hitting them and wait for it to stop bouncing. Alternatively, Diddy or Dixie can stop the egg by jumping on top of it. When the egg stops moving, Krow begins to charge after the Kongs, and the lead Kong must pick up the egg and hit Krow with it.

After taking a second hit, Krow changes his attack by ramming his head into his nest. This causes a few eggs to individually fall down from the nest while spinning while Krow himself becomes temporarily dizzy. The Kongs must avoid the eggs until one lands on the ground, and the lead Kong must pick up the egg that landed and hit Krow with it. If the Kongs do not pick up This process repeats itself another time.

After taking a fourth hit, Krow is defeated, and the Kongs are awarded a Kremkoin and can proceed to the next world, Crocodile Cauldron. In the Game Boy Advance version, when Krow is defeated, his spirit is shown leaving his body, thus foreshaodwing the battle with Krow's ghost in Gloomy Gulch.

In the Game Boy Advance version, like other bosses, Diddy and Dixie must pay ten Banana Bunch Coins to Swanky Kong in order to rematch Krow at his location. After defeating Krow, the Kongs are rewarded with two blue Extra Life Balloons.
