Template:Level Bouncy Bonanza is the eighth level in the Super Nintendo, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country. It is also the third level of the Monkey Mines area.

This level takes place in a dark, purple cave. As its name implies, there are a lot of bouncing to be done in this level. Indeed, there are tires everywhere - including tires which the Kongs can move themselves upwards to get them into secret areas. The bounciness will increase even more if the Kongs find Winky the Frog in this level, as well as reaching its climax in areas where tires can be found both on the floor and on the ceiling. Standing in the way of the Kongs here are red and the new yellow Kritters, as well as yellow and green Zingers.

Level Layout

At the beginning of the level, the monkeys will be greeted by a lone Kritter. They should defeat the foe and head east, where they will find a Zinger flying around a tire. They should simply ignore the wasp to avoid it, and then reach an area where they will find two Kritters jumping back and fourth from two platforms. The Kongs will have to sneak in between them to grab the letter K, and then head on. After dodging another Zinger around a tire, they will need to cross a small gap to find a set of three tire side-by-side. They can bounce on them to reach a DK Barrel, and then travel more eastward to meet more Zingers. If they monkeys simply jump over the foes, they can avoid them and continue on. Right after that, the group will find two tires on some stationary platforms. The apes should cross a large abyss with them. Farther on, they will have to walk down some stair-like platforms while avoiding some Kritters to find the letter O around a Zinger. Getting away from the enemy, the group should push a tire under a wall to find the Star Barrel. They should bounce on the tire to reach it.

Now halfway through the level, the heroes should sneak under another wall and move under a moving platform to find a small chamber of tires, all on the ceiling or on the ground. Past this area, the monkeys will need to crawl under two more walls, though while watching out for Zingers. After the third wall in the whole area, they monkeys will find a DK Barrel. Again, they will have to crawl under another wall through a tight space and head east to bounce off of a tire to get over a bouncing Kritter. After that, the group will need to dodge two Kritters jumping to opposite sides of an low area. When they are passed, the monkeys should cross a large abyss, using a few tires on stationary platform. A Zinger will be hovering around one of the tires, so they should be careful. Farther on, the apes will find another abyss, which will have to be crossed in the same manner as the last one. This time, though, the monkeys will have to bounce off of tires, being surrounded by two Zingers. Once the area is passed, the Kongs should bounce on a tire to reach a DK Barrel and then walk more eastward to find another pit. They will need to use a lone tire, around two more Zingers, to cross it. After this area, the heroes will be greeted by three more hopping Kritters, jumping back and fourth platform to platform. Grabbing the letter G from under the third Kritter, they animals will need to continue east and walk along a path. Soon, they will reach a moving platform. They should ride across an abyss with it to find the exit sign. Farther on is the level's exit.

Bonus Level(s)

  • When the heroes find the second barrel in the level, they should pick it up and carry it past a DK Barrel to a small area with two Zingers. The monkeys should quickly sneak under the foes and throw the barrel at the wall on the right to reveal an opening. Inside is the first Bonus Level, where they heroes will have to hit three barrels so the images on them will stop moving. If all three of the images do match, the monkeys will be awarded. Once they are done, they can exit the bonus automatically.
  • After the second DK Barrel, the monkeys will see a tire. They will have to bounce on it to reach a high up platform. There, they will find an opening. They should walk in it to enter the Bonus Level, where they will have to simply break open a crate to find Winky the Frog. Once this is done, the three can exit the special stage from the right side of the area.
  • When the Kongs ride on the last moving platform, they should notice a lone barrel above them. If they travel backward for a short time, they will find a tire. Carefully, they should push the tire to the platform they were previously on and bounce off of it to reach that barrel seen before. It should be noted that the monkeys can also reach this with on simple jump if they have Winky. The barrel will send the group to a Bonus Level, where they will need to bounce off of a few tires to grab many, many bananas. Once the monkeys are done collecting, they can exit to the right.
