Template:Character-infobox Very Gnawty is a giant Gnawty and the boss of the Kongo Jungle in the game Donkey Kong Country. It is the first boss of the game and appears in the level Very Gnawty's Lair. To defeat Very Gnawty, Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong must Jump on top of it five times, at which point it gasps and collapses onto the ground. The beaver boss attacks by jumping horizontally at the Kongs. After each hit, it gets progressively faster, and its leaps become progressively larger.

Very Gnawty shares its appearance with Really Gnawty, a palette swap. However, while Very Gnawty has gray fur, Really Gnawty has brown fur.

Gnawtys equal in size to Very Gnawty appear in Donkey Kong 64 and thus could be related to it. The only real difference between Very Gnawty and these Gnawtys is that the large Gnawtys of Donkey Kong 64 can be defeated in just one hit instead of five like Very Gnawty.

In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, Very Gnawty is a red beaver and is larger than its SNES counterpart. Once attacked, it will jump from one side of the screen to the other before slamming into the ground.
