Rockrocs are a rare variety of Kremlings found only in the game Donkey Kong Country. Rockrocs, unlike other Kremlings, have brown rocky skin. In fact, this skin is so tough, Rockrocs are invulnerable to any form of attack. Additionally, Rockrocs are extremely fast, allowing them to quickly dispatch anyone that invades their territory. When inactive, a Rockroc will curl into a ball (and resemble a boulder).

In the original Donkey Kong Country, Rockrocs appeared in only one level, "Stop and Go Station". Since they are invulnerable, Donkey and Diddy Kong had to figure out another way to pass by them. Unfortunately, since Rockrocs are so fast, it was virtually impossible for Donkey and Diddy to pass them by jumping. As soon as they landed, the heroes would be immediately attacked by one of the agile Rockrocs. Thankfully, the two Kongs could activate special barrels located throughout the level that would prevent the Rockrocs from moving. These barrels are normally on the "GO" setting, but when the Kongs hit the barrel, the setting switched to "STOP". At this time, the Rockrocs will curl into balls and stop moving, allowing Donkey and Diddy to pass by. However, this effect would only last for a short period time. After a few seconds, the barrels would revert back to the "GO" setting, allowing the Rockrocs to run wild.

In the GameBoy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, Rockrocs could be defeated. Donkey Kong could use his Hand Slap attack to destroy a Rockroc while it was curled up in a ball.

Trivia

• Rockrocs are the only type of Kremling from the Donkey Kong Country game to never appear in the Donkey Kong Country animated series in any way, shape or form.
