Skull Carts, as they appear in Donkey Kong 64.

Skull Carts are large skull-shaped carts found in the games Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Land 2, and Donkey Kong 64.

Skull Carts first appear in the level "Target Terror" in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Here, Diddy and Dixie Kong have to jump from Skull Cart to Skull Cart as they advance through the level, which takes place on a rollercoaster. Skull Carts also appear in the levels "Rickety Race" and "Haunted Hall". In "Rickety Race", the Kongs have to defeat several Skull Cart riding Kremlings, while in "Haunted Hall", the Kongs have to escape from large flying, skeletal, Kremling ghosts.

In Donkey Kong Land 2, Skull Carts are once again used by the Kongs and Kremlings in crazy roller coaster rides.

In Donkey Kong 64, Skull Carts are only found in Donkey Kong's mine cart level, which is located in the area Creepy Castle. In this game, Skull Carts are not able to be rode upon; they also gain a slightly altered appearance, being more pointy. These Skull Carts carry TNT Barrels, if they hit Donkey Kong ,they will explode, making Donkey lose a portion of the coins he has collected.
