Frog Coin
Frog Coins, small, bright, lime-green coins, are a rare commodity in the Mushroom World.They are only found in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They are generally only accepted by frogs and tadpoles, and there are only two known shops who sell items in exchange for only frog coins. The first is the Frog Coin Emporium atTadpole Pond, and the second is a small shop set up in Seaside Town by Frogfucius' Student. Both shops sell rare items in exchange for the coins.
Unlike the Gold Coin, a Frog Coin makes a deep, musical clunking sound when picked up.
Rare Frog Coin
The Rare Frog Coin is an extremely valuable Frog Coin that was given to Mallow by his "grandfather" Frogfucius. Mallow was supposed to buy a Cricket Pie at the Mushroom Kingdom Item Shop with the coin; however, the coin was stolen by the thief Croco. As such, Mallow teamed up with Mario to find Croco and retrieve the coin. After defeating the crocodile thief in battle and recovering the Rare Frog Coin, Mallow headed back to the Mushroom Kingdom to purchase the pie. However, Mallow got even more sidetracked as he had to help liberate the Mushroom Kingdom from Mack and his Shyster army, who had recently conquered the peaceful kingdom. Eventually, after much work and effort, Mallow finally purchased the Cricket Pie with the Rare Frog Coin and headed back to Tadpole Pond, home of Frogfucius.
