They first appeared in the Apple Kingdom's level "Massive Canyon", where one resided at the end of the level. It will take Donkey Kong five hits to defeat it. One later appears at the end of the Peach Kingdom's level "Ancient Foundry". It will take seven hits to defeat it. Another Goal Mondo later appears in the Chili Pepper Kingdom's level Magma Coliseum.
