The driver[1] is a minor character who appears in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is a Kong with light-brown fur who wears a white sports coat and, while driving, sunglasses. He opens the gates of the Jungle Kingdom to Mario, Princess Peach, and Toad and accepts their request to meet the king, Cranky Kong. He then takes them via his yellow-and-green-colored kart to Cranky's lair, causing confusion during the drive, such as making Swanky Kong's kart slip on a banana peel thrown after eating it.
