Circus Kongs[1][2] are Donkey Kong's robots that appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis and every subsequent game in the series, apart from Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, where they are replaced by Catapult Kongs. If any Minis touch one, the Circus Kong will throw them up in the air and juggle them back and forth, causing the Minis to remain suspended in the air. Specifically in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, a Circus Kong can only carry up to two Minis at a time, and any additional Minis will be thrown aside and briefly stunned if they touch the Circus Kong.

Circus Kongs can stop juggling the Minis if another Mini uses Hammers or Fire Flower against one, which causes it to flip over and flail around for a short time, rendering it temporarily unable to affect Minis and allowing them to move past the Circus Kong. An exclamation mark appears over a stunned Circus Kong shortly before it flips back upright. Minis can also escape a Circus Kong if a line of Pink Blocks is formed under the Minis while they are in the air, or if they happen to land on a red girder. Circus Kongs are non-lethal enemies, and can only hurt Minis if they are thrown into something harmful.

They were originally voiced by Grant Kirkhope and Takashi Nagasako in a shared role, and have been voiced solely by Nagasako in all appearances after Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!.
