Tomato

The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

Killer Tomatoes are large red tomatoes with sinister looking faces. Killer Tomatoes appear in Donkey Kong 64.

Several Killer Tomatoes can be found in the area near Funky's Armory in the area Fungi Forest at night. If one of the Kongs comes too close to a Killer Tomato it will lunge at them and damage them. The Kongs cannot even fight back as the attacks cannot harm the evil vegetables. In order to combat the Killer Tomatoes Chunky Kong must jump in a nearby Hunky Chunky Barrel to become Hunky Chunky.

When Hunky Chunky approaches the Killer Tomatoes a worm in an apple will begin speaking to him; it will tell him that his friends were eaten be these tomatoes and that it is next unless someone helps it. Chunky must jump on the Killer Tomatoes to defeat them. After he has done this he can pick up the worm and it's apple and take it to the part of Fungi Forest with the giant clock-tree in it. Here Chunky can drop the worm off on a piece of ground with a picture of an apple on it, after this he will gain a Golden Banana for his troubles.

• The appearance of the Killer Tomatoes and the way they are defeated (by being crushed) may be based off the hit B-movie Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and it's many sequels.
