Thunder Roc is a boss in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat that ruled the Lychee Kingdom. Deriving from the Roc species, it is a creature supposed to represent the birds of the "real world". Just like its counterparts, this feathered creature flies around the field whilst it holds onto an egg. This egg is also the player's only way to defeat the boss. This boss has a noticeably darker, more threatening look to it compared to its previous lookalikes. This is likely to be because it is the last one of its species faced by Donkey Kong in said game.
Attacks
These are the general attacks Thunder Roc is able to use.
- It can shoot out feathers to spike Donkey Kong.
- It can send a plethora of meteors raining down on the battlefield.
- It can also send a burst of wind at Donkey Kong's way preventing him to move in its direction.
Trivia
- Despite Donkey Kong having no claws, the Black Egg can be seen getting scratched by the ape, with red marks left behind.
- Even though the black egg isn't directly connected to Thunder Roc's body, its body is seen exploding after the explosion of its black egg. It is possible the reasoning for this is that the first explosion (caused by the black egg) is the one that caused the bird to explode shortly afterward.
