Fritz[1] are aquatic enemies that appear in the Sea Breeze Cove levels of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port, starting with Deep Keep. They resemble moray eels and are generally found in spacious areas.

Fritz regularly teleport themselves between places through self-generated whirlpools. Before teleporting, they grab their tail into their mouths and start swirling rapidly, producing a load of electricity. The electricity is then discharged in the form of plasma balls, which are spread radially around the enemy and disappear after reaching a certain distance. If the Kongs come into contact with a Fritz or its plasma balls, they lose one heart from their health meter. The Kongs can defeat a Fritz with a Corkscrew attack (while it is not charged with electricity) or with Cranky Kong's cane swipe.
