Rambi the Rhinoceros, the first Animal Buddy ever encountered.

An Animal Buddy, also known as Animal Friends and Jungle Buddies, is a term relating to any type of creature that aids Donkey Kong and his friends and family on their various adventures. Some of the ways Animal Buddies aid the Kongs are by defeating enemies and unlocking secrets. Animal Buddies first appeared in the game Donkey Kong Country and have appeared in most sub-sequent Donkey Kong series games.
