*Schnautzel's name is a portmanteau of the German words "Schnauze" (snout) and "Schnitzel" (fried meat, a reference to the enemies' hog-like appearance).

Schnautzels[1] are boar enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They only appear in the Autumn Heights levels Windmill Hills and Horn Top Hop. Their name is a pun mixing the German words "Schnauze" (snout) and "Schnitzel" (cutlet), as well as the English word "snot".
