Fire Necky is a large, fiery Necky who is the second boss of DK: King of Swing. It is likely based on a Phoenix.

Summary[edit]

Donkey Kong encounters it at "Fire Necky's Nest" of Wild West World. Fire Necky either attacks DK by swooping at him, and then either engulfing him in its flaming body or by spitting flaming rocks at him. DK should wait for the rocks to extinguish before one can be picked up and tossed at Fire Necky. If it has been hit enough times, Fire Necky collapses and surrenders its golden medal. The Aqua World is then accessible. If Donkey Kong collected all of the medals in the area and gets the golden medal from Fire Necky, Obstacle Race 2 will be added to single and multi player Jungle Jams.

Fire Necky is later battled by Diddy once the game's Diddy Mode is unlocked.

Fire Necky is described to be the "boss of the Neckies" in the DK: King of Swing manual. Master Necky Snr., one of Donkey Kong Country's bosses, was previously seen as the boss of the Neckies prior to Fire Necky.
