Blewbird Roost is a course in Petal Isles of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is unlocked after clearing Robbird Cove and clearing it unlocks a Wonder Packun leading to Fluff-Puff Peaks. As its name suggests, Blewbirds serve as the main enemy found in the course. This course houses two Wonder Seeds and has a difficulty of two stars. It introduces the Bubble form and is primarily designed around its abilities.

Layout[edit]

The course takes place in an underground area filled with Blewbirds and Swirlypod shells. It starts off with a pit to the left of a Blewbird that has three coins and a Wow Bud above it. with a ring of coins and flower coins above. This is followed by a section with another Blewbird and a Wow Bud. Above is a set of Semisolid Platforms with a Long ? Block on the left that contains a Bubble Flower, some ? Blocks to the right, and a Hidden Character Block visible to Yoshi that contains a flower coin. Above is another Blewbird with more semisolid platforms following that lead to a Blewbird next to a ? Block with a ? Block on the left side. After jumping on a semisolid platform, three Blewbirds blow arrows to help the player go further up the course. After another Blewbird and a ? Block is a mountain of semisolid platforms in between some Blewbirds, before another set of semisolid platforms that leads to a yellow Warp Pipe to the Checkpoint Flag.

After a ? Blocks with three Brick Blocks next to it is a set of trampolines, with a Blewbird jumping on one, while on the left is a Long Hidden Block containing a flower coin. As the player jumps up two Wow Buds can be seen, with one being encased with the ground. After another set of trampolines on the left is a set of vines and two semisolid platforms before an upwards passageway with Blewbirds on the sides whose arrows help the player reach the top, where three Wow Buds encased with the ground can be seen on the right. After a trampoline on the left with vines above it, a Beacon can be seen between two Blewbirds bouncing on trampolines, with a yellow pipe nearby. By activating the Beacon, the Wonder Flower appears and automatically causes the Blewbirds to blow large bubbles which cycle through the color spectrum and the background to brighten. As the player jumps on the bubbles they encounter many Talking Flowers cheering on them before a Wonder Seed surrounded with Chibi Flower Coins at the top. After the Wonder Effect, the player falls and a Wow Bud appears that releases coins when touched. A red pipe takes the player outside of the cave with two Blewbirds standing on semisolid platforms before the Goal Pole.

10-flower coins[edit]

  • 10-flower coin 1: Found above the Long ? Block at the beginning.
  • 10-flower coin 2: Found in a sub-area. Before the first yellow pipe, a player should jump onto an arrow blown by a Blewbird and jump on a Hidden Block containing a vine. A red pipe leads to the sub-area, with this coin being above unshelled Swirlypods.
  • 10-flower coin 3: There is a Wow Bud encased with the ground along the second set of trampolines. It can be activated by blowing a bubble while in the Bubble form, where this coin will appear above it.
