Template:Location-infobox The Northern Kremisphere is the name of the area Dixie Kong and her cousin Kiddy Kong travel through in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III.

The Northern Kremisphere is a large beautiful area having a large amount of water in it. The climate is clearly much colder than on Donkey Kong Island, as evidenced by the landscape. Due to this the Kongs had to travel to the Northern Kremisphere varied areas with the use of a various watercrafts which they can obtain at Funky's Rentals. There are many forests, waterfalls, mountains and lakes in the Kremisphere, unfortunately due to the acts of Kremling Krew several areas that were once beautiful such as Mekanos are now polluted and filled with pipelines, warehouses and lumber mills.

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Dixie and Kiddy Kong travel to the Northern Kremisphere in search of the missing Donkey and Diddy Kong and to investigate the recent appearance of Kremlings there. In their quest they travel through many places, from the serene Lake Orangatanga to the freezing summit of K3.

In Donkey Kong Land III, Dixie and Kiddy returned to the Kremisphere to explore several newly discovered areas, such as Cape Codswallop and Primate Plains.

Like Crocodile Isle, the Northern Kremisphere has two hidden areas, a sunken and apparently once volcanic island called Krematoa and an apparently sunken, Atlantis-like island simply known as the Lost World. The main plot of Donkey Kong Land 3 is to find the Lost World before Baron K. Roolenstein.

In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, a new area was added to the Northern Kremisphere, Pacifica. Instead of being the boss of Razor Ridge, Barbos the Sea Lurchin was instead reinstated as the boss of Pacifica (a new boss called Kroctopus was instead placed as the boss of Razor Ridge).

The Northern Kremisphere, despite its name, is located to the south of Donkey Kong Island. The region is within swimming distance of Donkey Kong Island, and is the nearest mainland to the south of the island. Given its proximity, and the fact that Wrinkly Kong and other members of the Kong Family live in the region, it is possible that the Northern Kremisphere is part of the greater chain of DK Isles. This is also supported by the fact that Kocos are stated to patrol the waters of Donkey Kong Island, despite only appearing in the region explicitly labelled the Northern Kremisphere.

Trivia

  • The name "Northern Kremisphere" is a pun on the Northern Hemisphere, a real part of Earth.
  • The name is Northern Kremisphere but is unknown if King K. Rool is its ruler.
