Diddy Kong Pilot was a planned sequel to Diddy Kong Racing, but with flying as the only means of transport. However, it ended up canceled. After its cancellation and after Rare was acquired by Microsoft, Diddy Kong Pilot was converted into the game Banjo-Pilot. Characters confirmed to appear in the game were Krunch, Dixie Kong, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, King K. Rool, Cranky Kong and a new character tentatively called "Redneck Kong" [1]

It is unknown if all the characters featured in Diddy Kong Racing would return in Diddy Kong Pilot. Diddy Kong Pilot would have been Rare's first game on the Game Boy Advance if it had not been canceled.
