"Peaches" is a song featured in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. It is sung by Bowser, who secretly professes his love for Princess Peach. It is sung again during the credits, where a now-imprisoned Bowser reflects on the events that led to his defeat while still desiring to win Peach's love.
Jack Black, who voices Bowser in the film, co-wrote the song with directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, as well as Eric Osmond and Black's frequent collaborator John Spiker (who also produced).[1]
The song reached the top 100 on the iTunes Store upon the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) on April 7, 2023 for digital platforms.[2]
Black starred in an officially sponsored live-action music video of himself performing the song for the music channel Lyrical Lemonade.[3] An official clip-based music video for the song was uploaded on the film's social media accounts and Illumination's YouTube channel on April 10, 2023.[4]
