The Mushroom Forest[1] is a location where Mario first ends up after being transported into the Mushroom Kingdom through a mysterious pipe in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. In the forest, Mario meets Toad, Biddybuds, and Bramballs. Butterflies (some of which appear in their design from Super Mario 64) and small birds from Super Mario 3D Land also appear as part of the wildlife.

The Mushroom Forest primarily consists of giant tall mushrooms. When Mario attempts to touch a blue mushroom, Toad suddenly warns him that the mushroom is poisonous (before realizing afterwards that it is actually harmless), implying there are inedible mushrooms in the forest as well.

Later on in the film, Princess Peach tells the Toads to evacuate into the Mushroom Forest upon returning to the Mushroom Kingdom. The forest reappears when Tanooki Mario lures a Bomber Bill away from Peach's Castle and into the mysterious pipe.
