Crocodile Cauldron
Crocodile Cauldron is the name of the volcanic area of Crocodile Island in Donkey Kong Country 2. Crocodile Cauldron is, as mentioned above very volcanic possessing several large pits and rivers of lava. Several mine shafts are located here also, no doubt the Kremling Krew had been mining for precious gems and minerals for weapons before being interupted by the Kongs. Oddly the remains of several ships are lodged in the volcano possibly meaning that the area may have not always been volcanic. Water also seems to flow into the area or there is atleast a large deposit of it is underground as the remains of a ship is flooded with it; the water is in a constant state of either being boiling red or extremely cool. At the end of Donkey Kong Country 2 Crocodile Cauldron, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle ends up sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
In Donkey Kong Land 2, after being raised from the ocean, Crocodile Cauldron and the swampy Krem Quay seemed to have fused together, creating the mountainous Krem Cauldron. At the end of the game Krem Cauldron, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle once again sinks to the bottom of the ocean.
Trivia
- In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2 Crocodile Cauldron seems to be incased in a giant Kremling skull or statue of a Kremling skull which has steam coming from it's nostrils and glowing red eyes.
