Krem Cauldron is a fusion of Crocodile Cauldron and Krem Quay in Donkey Kong Land 2. Due to the Game Boy's limited memory, the programmers simply combined the two worlds into one. It has most of the levels from the two areas in it, giving it the area with the highest level count in Donkey Kong Land 2.
It was rumored that after Crocodile Isle sank in Donkey Kong Country 2 that Crocodile Cauldron and Krem Quay fused together, and that Krem Cauldron was the result. However, this is largely fanon and is not based on any credible evidence.
