LINE is a messaging app by Line Corporation that is popular in Japan and other Asian countries. The service is known for its distinct stickers which can be sent with messages. Nintendo has used this service by creating multiple different series of stickers based on the Super Mario franchise, as well as an official automated account known as Kinopio-kun. Line Corporation co-developed Dr. Mario World with Nintendo and NHN Entertainment for smart devices, which was released on June 9, 2019.

Kinopio-kun is a Toad with a green-colored mushroom cap and a green vest. He is the mascot of Nintendo's LINE account. The account is an automated bot that will interact with messengers, depending on what they say to it.
