Gliding is a technique in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. While technically similar to Peach's glide trick in Super Smash Bros. Melee, gliding lasts longer and has more control. The player has to jump then hold the jump button, which will then make the character glide. The player is also able to direct it upwards or downwards. Tilting the control stick up or back will make the character glide upwards for a short while, whereas tilting the control stick down or forward will make the character glide downwards. Also, the character cannot turn when using this, so gliding off the stage is always a potential danger. Gliding will stop if the player stalls in mid-air or gets attacked. Charizard, Meta Knight and Pit are the only characters who are able to glide.

Not to be confused with Fly.

Template:BoxTop
