A Friend In Need is a Main Quest in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, specifically in the The Last Spark Hunter DLC. It is the second and final Main Quest in the Melodic Gardens.
In this Main Quest, the heroes encounter Kanya, a former sub-leader to Cursa after Edge's betrayal, but fled to the Melodic Gardens to secretly plan to overthrow Cursa. The heroes stop Kanya's mechanical creations of King Bob-omb and rescue the Melospheres, as well as Allegra's Dorrie friend. The heroes defeat Kanya in a showdown and save the Melodic Gardens.

As the heroes follow Allegra to her friend, they encounter Kanya, who knows all about the heroes and expresses her hatred for Cursa. She also tells Allegra that her pet is in danger, causing Allegra to apologetically run off in fear for her friend. Kanya then unleashes the Proto Mecha King Bob-omb on the heroes, which they destroy in a battle, rescuing the Spark Electroquake in the process. Kanya applauds the heroes for their strength, and playfully leaves, confusing everyone.
Because Allegra had run off, the heroes follow her, only to find a Swamp that has been flooded. The heroes use a nearby boat to traverse across the Swamp, but find a large gate. JEANIE tells the heroes that Allegra and her friend are behind there, and that the gate will only open if the Melospheres are United at the base of the Sweeping Tree in the Flooded Ruins, so the heroes travel there.
The group finds that all three Melospheres are imprisoned in cages, and so the heroes must travel around the Flooded Ruins to rescue them. After freeing them, the Melsopheres travel to the Sweeping Tree, only for a Darkmess Puddle to capture them. The heroes cleanse the Puddle in a battle, rescuing the Melospheres for good. They unite at the Sweeping Tree, causing said tree to gleam brightly with light, causing the Swamp gate to open up. The heroes head back to the now opened gate and travel through.
The heroes then find Allegra and her friend, which is a Dorrie. The Dorrie is trapped in a cage as well. Kanya then shows up with her Mecha King Bob-omb, and reveals that the prototype was used for field testing to allow Kanya to further improve the Mecha King Bob-omb. The heroes manage to free the Dorrie, and together they all unite to defeat the Mecha King Bob-omb, as well as Kanya for good. The machine malfunctions with Kanya still inside, and rockets off into outer space.
The Melodic Gardens are then restored, as well as the air density, allowing the WM ARC to leave the Melodic Gardens. Allegra thanks the heroes with a biophony of her own. Everyone celebrates, and Rabbid Peach dances with Mario.
