Darkle Boss: Spotlion is a boss stage in Princess Peach: Showtime! It is found on 4F and is unlocked after clearing all of the other shows on the floor. This stage is a boss battle against Spotlion. To unlock the door leading to the boss, Princess Peach must give Stella twenty five Sparkle Gems.

Upon entering the stage, there is a cutscene where Princess Peach and Stella encounter Grape again, where she calls the two her rivals and tells them that her preparations to build the ultimate stage for her ultimate tragedy are progressing smoothly. She then orders Spotlion to stop the heroes before leaving.

The battle takes place in an area with several spotlights. Spotlion is on top of a platform on the right side and fires four Darkle orbs in a "+" formation. It will then jump to another platform on the left side and perform the same attack. It will then jump to the right and alter the layout, causing the terrain to become uneven and for ramps to appear. Spotlion then uses Darkle Power to brighten the vicinity, and then fires an orb upwards that bounces off the terrain a few times before disappearing. Spotlion then minority changes the layout again before jumping to the left side, firing three separate orbs. The first and third orbs are fired upwards while the second orb is fired straight in front of Spotlion. The layout then changes back to normal, the Darkle Power ends and Spotlion jumps to the right side, starting the attack process again. Princess Peach and Stella must use Sparkle Power to cleanse the orbs Spotlion launches and reflect them back at the boss, damaging it. After getting hit by three cleansed orbs, Spotlion will fall to the ground and break, revealing its Darkle Sphere. After attacking the Darkle Sphere, Spotlion reassembles and phase two begins.

In phase two, Spotlion is on a high platform on the left and immediately alters the layout, creating a pit below Spotlion and causes a platform to appear to the right of the boss. Spotlion then fires four Darkle orbs in a "+" formation again, before the platform moves downwards and the boss uses the same attack. The platform moves back to its initial position and Spotlion then uses Darkle Power again. It will then fire a laser aimed diagonally upwards that bounces along the terrain. This laser cannot be cleansed and must be avoided. Spotlion then aims downwards and performs the same attack. A ramp then appears at the top right corner and Spotlion fires some orbs that bounce when they collide with the terrain. The platform the boss is on moves slightly after each attack. After some orbs, the Darkle Power ends and the process resets. After attacking the Darkle Sphere again, phase three will begin.

In phase three, Spotlion is on a platform in the center and fires four Darkle orbs in an "X" formation. The platform the boss is on moves to the right and Spotlion uses Darkle Power again. A two sided ramp appears in the top middle of the battlefield and Spotlion creates a mirror copy of itself on a platform on the left side. When attacked, this copy will simply vanish. The real Spotlion has a reflection. Both Spotlions will fire orbs downwards that bounce when they hit the terrain. The battlefield will then be altered again, removing the middle ramps and adding ramps on the top corners. The mirror copy of Spotlion will be on a platform on the right side, while the real Spotlion is on the left side. The real Spotlion then leaves the arena, while the mirror copy fires a laser that bounces lots of times, taking up a majority of the room. The only safe place is below the mirror copy. The copy then leaves and the real Spotlion returns, performing the same attack, although at a faster speed. The layout then changes again, having wider ramps on the walls and a small two sided ramp in the center, and both Spotlions fire more Darkle orbs that bounce. There will then be four platforms, each with a Spotlion on them. Three of them are copies, which will disappear before the real Spotlion lunges towards Princess Peach. Before the attack, the Darkle Power will go away. Spotlion then restarts its attack patterns. After one last attack on its Darkle Sphere, Spotlion will be defeated.

After clearing the stage, the threads blocking 5F disappear, allowing access to the floor. The Kung Fu Rehearsal also becomes available on 4F.

Post-game challenges

1. Defeat Spotlion with only striped orbs.
2. Defeat Spotlion with nine or fewer returned orbs.
3. Win the fight without taking damage.
