The DK Isles is the global setting of the Donkey Kong franchise. It localization is revelated in Metro Kingdom and the name is mentioned by King K. Rool in Donkey Kong 64 appearing from game to game. Despite this, the archipelago comprises of 3 small islands in DK Island seaside.
History
The Donkey Kong Island is often portrayed as main island that archipelago with 3 islands in that some them is used as vacation place by Kong Family, but one that archipelago is inhabited by Banana Fairies.
Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest are the couple games to show the other islands as Crocodile Isle and Kremlantis belonging for Kremlings which are neighbors from archipelago, but there are other islands as Ghost Island and Chill 'n' Char Island serves as Kremling Krew base of operations.
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, the DK Isles became rich by other islands in a region called Northern Kremisphere where DK and Diddy went out to explore, but whole region is habitated by Brother Bears. Also in Diddy Kong Racing, DK: Jungle Climber and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze show more islands with more species, rulers and others are independent.
