Template:Location-infobox Candy's Save Point, also spelled Candy's Save point,[1] is a booth run by Candy Kong in the original version of Donkey Kong Country, and is where Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong can save their game progress. The area has a wooden booth with red and white striped awning and a sign with lights that run around it. The background shows a forest setting.

In the Game Boy Color remake, it was changed to Candy's Challenge, while in the Game Boy Advance remake, it was changed to Candy's Dance Studio. In both remakes, the player can save their progress from the world map instead. Candy's Challenge has the same outward scene as Candy's Save Point.

History

Donkey Kong Country

In Donkey Kong Country, there is a Candy's Save Point in all six worlds. When Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong jump into the save barrel, the player's game progress is saved. Oftentimes, Candy advises the Kongs to save their game "before it's too late" (which refers to if they were to lose their progress).

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Candy's Save Point makes a cameo appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the DK Island subarea of the World of Light, which in itself is a recreation of the Kongo Jungle world map from Donkey Kong Country. It is the location from which Candy Kong's spirit is fought.

Appearances in other media

In the Club Nintendo comic, Candy's Save Point appears in the second part. However, it does not serve its original purpose of allowing the Kongs to save; instead, when Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong arrive, Candy provides them with Squawks the Parrot.
