The Banana Kingdom is the first kingdom linked to the D Barrel which appears in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. The kingdom is located in a vast green Jungle. The Banana Kingdom can be accessed by completing the Opening Ceremony stage. The Banana Kingdom is the dominion of Dread Kong and Helper Monkeys. Donkey Kong travels through this kingdom to defeat Dread Kong. At the end of each level in the early kingdom, Donkey Kong must eat a giant banana to finish the level.
Levels
Dawn Savanna
Dawn Savanna is the first area of the Banana Kingdom. This level is takes place on a grassland with many hills. Donkey Kong is aided by Combo Fairies and Helper Monkeys here. Donkey Kong also uses his vine swinging and climbing abilities to reach inaccessible areas. In this level, many new gameplay features are introduced to the player, such as Banande Lions, which Donkey Kong can swing on to reach higher areas.
Level Layout
At the beginning of the level, there are a few small hills covered by bananas. At the bottom of the second hill is a black, pig-like enemy for Donkey Kong to defeat. Nearby is a giant tree stump, which the ape can climb on to find three Banana Bunches in bubbles. A Helper Monkey is also around this area to show the ape where to go. After following the monkey down the other end of the stump, Donkey Kong can find some bananas and a Banana Bunch. To the right of the items is another Helper Monkey, who can throw the Kong to three Banana Bunches and a high platform if the player claps his/her hands. Around this platform are two more Helper Monkeys. Once they swing Donkey Kong to the next platform, he should grab onto the first Banande Lion and swing onto the following platform.
