The level starts out in an area similar to part of Canopy Chaos, where the player can switch out [[Cranky Kong]] with [[Diddy Kong]] before getting on the minecart, which leads DK and Diddy through a track containing several moving platforms and minor enemies like [[Tuck]]s and [[Monocle Monica]]s (both of which appear throughout the level). After jumping over a wrecked plane, a checkpoint appears, and then some spinning fan blades, as well as the letter "O". In this area of the track, new enemies such as [[Waldough]]s appear and the course starts turning and twisting around a tree trunk. After this, the Kongs will go down a large drop and have to jump through some platforms, finding the letter "N". The level starts getting more complex after the Checkpoint, leading the Kongs to another twisting track, this one with tall barriers that must be jumped over and timed correctly, with this area containing the last letter, "G". At one point, a large block will fall onto the track from behind, causing it to flip and possible catch the player off guard. After that, the last piece of track will crumble, sending the Kongs down to a new one on a beach area with platforms that function as the player nears (for example, a boat tumbles from the background). After briefly going through the beach area, DK and Diddy will be thrown out of the minecart and onto a lone platform with the [[Slot Machine Barrel]], which ends the level.

Template:Level Trunk Twister is the fourth level of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, located in Lost Mangroves. It takes place on a minecart going through twisting tracks in the forest, hence the name. The level's name is a pun on Tongue Twister.

In Time Attack mode, a time of 1:51.00 is required to get a gold medal, a time of 1:53.00 for silver, and a time of 1:55.00 for bronze.

Overview

Trunk Twister
A swinging broken plane crashes into the Kongs.

The level starts out in an area similar to part of Canopy Chaos, where the player can switch out Cranky Kong with Diddy Kong before getting on the minecart, which leads DK and Diddy through a track containing several moving platforms and minor enemies like Tucks and Monocle Monicas (both of which appear throughout the level). After jumping over a wrecked plane, a checkpoint appears, and then some spinning fan blades, as well as the letter "O". In this area of the track, new enemies such as Waldoughs appear and the course starts turning and twisting around a tree trunk. After briefly going through the beach area, DK and Diddy will be thrown out of the minecart and onto a lone platform with the Slot Machine Barrel, which ends the level.
