I'm not sure, but isn't the organization called FOXHOUND and not FOX?  Caps Lock LORD | 04:43, 21 January 2007 (EST)

No, you're right… how didn't I catch that? I love the Metal Gear series on the PS2 (when I'm not flaming the PS2…) Parayoshiicon.jpgPara Yoshi Wahoo!Parayoshiicon.jpg 11:27, 21 January 2007 (EST)

Solid Snake or Snake?

The official site calls him Snake, other sources call him Solid Snake. Which one should we go with? My Bloody Valentine

I think this problem has come up before, use the most official info from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, not info taken from the original series... ~Uniju(T-C-E)
A reason more to move Princess Zelda to Zelda, but noone listened to me back then. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 09:45, 23 September 2007 (EDT)
That's a...good point, Cobold. The official site, as well as Super Smash Bros. Melee, calls her Zelda, Legend of Zelda calls her Princess Zelda. We take our information from the Super Smash Bros. series, not the Legend of Zelda. I AGREE, MOVE THAT PAGE TO ZELDA, NOT PRINCESS ZELDA!! My Bloody Valentine

Kind of redundant imo. I mean, the "Colonel" gets an article "Colonel Roy Campbell" when his name isn't even mentioned either. The same goes Sonic and his crew, except their "the (whatever animal they are)" aren't mentioned in the game (at least not yet). But that's just me. Magiciandude 22:11, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

Metal Gear... Solid?

You know, Snake's first game was simply called "Metal Gear". It wasn't called "Metal Gear Solid" until much later. Let's just leave the "Metal Gear" names be, okay Pokemon DP? - Smashgoom202 09:04, 26 September 2007 (EDT)

That has been discussed, and the name given to it by the Dojo is "Metal Gear Solid" series, so here we go. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:51, 26 September 2007 (EDT)
Very well then. - Smashgoom202 08:27, 27 September 2007 (EDT)

Quote

I think we should go for a quote which describes Snake's character, like the one where he wants to eat Yoshi. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:36, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

How does that describe his character, exactly? My Bloody Valentine
He's cruel? Unscrupulous? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:53, 3 October 2007 (EDT)
But, he never actually mentions Yoshi in that quote. How would people know who he is talking about if they saw that quote? My Bloody Valentine

Sound better. My Bloody Valentine

Otocon, Mel/Mei Ling and Colonel

Should we make articles for them? They will appear in the game during conversations much like Slippy Toad and the other Star Fox freaks. papertoycf7.gif Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back! papertoycf7.gif

The FOXHOUND page covers all three of them. I don't know whether this is the best solution... - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:22, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

Ok then. VOTE TIME! papertoycf7.gif Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back! papertoycf7.gif

Seperate Page for the FOXHOUND characters

  1. papertoycf7.gif Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back! papertoycf7.gif If we have pages for Slippy Toad and Tingle then I don't know why we shouldn't for these three guys. If we keep the page as FOXHOUND then lets delete Slippy Toad's page, and that bunny's page and let's mrge it with a Star Fox page. But I know you won't want that.
  2. Cobold (talk · contribs) - per Jorge.
  3. Per Jorge and Cobold--Caith Sith 13:30, 6 October 2007 (EDT)
  4. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC Per Jorge.
  5. Tadaa!2.gifPlumberTadaaa!.gif As Jorge says.
  6. ~Uniju(T-C-E)Per Paper Jorge, the one who gives Paper cuts.

Keep it as FOXHOUND

  1. My Bloody Valentine All they do is give Snake hints. Tingle, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare effect gameplay in Super Smash Bros. Melee, these three don't do anything but tell Snake stuff.

Comments

Hmm...seems like we should create the pages for Otocon, Mel/Mei Ling and Colonel. Anyone up for the job? papertoycf7.gif Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back! papertoycf7.gif

Somebody read my coment. My Bloody Valentine There is a differance between these 3 and the other character articles like Peppy Hare and Tingle.
Well, no one seems to be listening to my comments at the moment. I'll bring up another good point. FOXHOUND ONLY make contact with Snake in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. They do NOT make contact with any of the other characters, thus, do NOT effect gameplay. All they do is tell Snake a few things, that is all. And, also, Cobold, how can you say to make articles on these three when they only tell Snake stuff on Shadow Moses Island ONLY, and then say NOT to make an article on the Doubled-Barreled Battery, which also appears on ONLY one stage, BUT, actually effects gameplay, and makes contact with ALL players? My Bloody Valentine Hello?
Calling all of them "Foxhound" isn't an official name. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:18, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
You mean FOXHOUND? If that's so, shouldn't the FOXHOUND article be deleted? My Bloody Valentine
Pokemon DP, Sakurai didn't say FOXHOUND won't effect gameplay. They could do more than give Snake hints. --Trogga 11:46, 12 October 2007 (EDT)
He never said they did effect gameplay, now, did he? If the FOXOUND article got split into Otacon, Mei Ling, and Colonel Roy Campbell, then the FOXHOUND article should now be deleted. We don't have an article on Team Star Fox, but we have an article on Peppy Hare and Slppy Toad. My Bloody Valentine
