The criteria was changed in the DS remake, where the player races against T.T. in a [[Wish Race]].


The player has to win in each of the battle arenas to get a piece of the T.T. Amulet. To enter the battle arenas, the player has to find a hidden key, which can be found in some of the race tracks.
The T.T. Amulet's purpose is to enter through the T.T. Door in Future Fun Land, and it leads to the second and final race against [[Wizpig]]. The player must also have every [[Golden Balloon]] to enter.
 
If the player gets all four pieces of the T.T. Amulet, they can enter the T.T. door that is inside [[Future Fun Land]]. The player must also collect 47 balloons during the process, however. Inside the T.T. door is a door leading to the second race against [[Wizpig]].
 
In ''Diddy Kong Racing DS'', the T.T. Amulet is won differently. The player must find a key to make the Wish Door open. After entering the door, he or she will be able to draw his or her own track (although each track has the same theme) and then race [[T.T.]] After beating him, the player will be given a piece of the T.T. Amulet.

The T.T. Amulet is a type of item in Diddy Kong Racing and its Nintendo DS remake, Diddy Kong Racing DS. It was originally split into four pieces, with each piece being a reward for completing a Challenge Level. The criteria was changed in the DS remake, where the player races against T.T. in a Wish Race.
