Switch can refer to any of the following:

• P Switch – first seen in Super Mario Bros. 3, a Switch Block that usually transforms Brick Blocks into coins and vice versa and/or reveals Blue Coins.
• ? Switch – a Switch Block that generally causes a mysterious event.
• ! Switch – a Switch Block that generally causes an event that will affect the game's storyline in some way or transforms Dotted-Line Blocks into ! Blocks.
• Skull switch – a Switch Block that causes the defeat of the boss it is in the room of.
