Each enemy contributes to the level's difficulty, as well as they several pits found throughout the cave. For the first section of the stage, the Kongs will get to ride [[Squawks]], who is the only Animal Buddy not optional in the level. This part is followed by a second part riding on [[Enguarde]] around a watery section, along with another part where the heroes must ride on [[Ellie]], although only for a short time. In the level's final section, the monkeys must ride on [[Squitter the Spider]] through more of the long cave. The enemies in this game's Pot Hole Panic include, [[Booty Bird]]s, [[Kopter]]s, [[Koco]]s, [[Lurchin]]s, [[Bounty Bass]], [[Kuchuka]]'s and [[Buzz (species)|Buzzes]].
