Hovercraft

The Hovercrafts in Diddy Kong Racing vary with each character. Unlike the Cars and Planes, the Hovercrafts are usable in every level except for some battle stages and boss tracks. They appear to be very powerful as they are able to hover across water and even lava. However, hovercrafts are considered to be the most difficult vehicle to control, due to their tricky steering capabilities. In the DS version, players racing in the Hovercraft must blow into the DS' microphone to initiate a Rocket Start at the beginning of a race. It is the only vehicle that can be used on every track in the game.
