Bumper (character)
Template:Character-infobox Bumper is a badger racer in Diddy Kong Racing who drives a yellow vehicle, (be it Plane, Hovercraft, or Car). He, along with the other playable characters in Diddy Kong Racing, were contacted by Timber help stop the invasion of the evil Wizpig taking over his island. When selected, his theme instrument is a steel guitar. Bumper reappears in the remake Diddy Kong Racing DS as a playable character once again and is relatively unchanged except he sounds older and more mature than he did in the original.
Bumper's vehicles feature average speed and good acceleration, but their turning abilities are rather weak. His top speed without bananas, shared with Conker and Timber, is 56.5 mph.
A promotional e-mail by Rare Ltd. in 2004 to promote the release of Conker: Live & Reloaded implied that one of the racers from Diddy Kong Racing had been jailed.[1] An instance on the Rare Ltd. website in 2012, further confirmed that the imprisoned individual in question had been "Bumper the badger".[2]
