Star Fox series
Corneria is a major planet in the Lylat System and possibly its capital. The planet is geographically similar to Earth or Mushroom World, as all have varying temperatures, climates and terrains. The soil here is reported to be extremely fertile and the inhabitants welcome life with open arms. Many settlements are established in the protective shadows of the abundant cavern-ridden mountains. Corneria has been the target of invasion by various forces because of these riches, some including Andross (a genius scientist gone mad), the Anglers (a vicious race from the planet Venom) and the Aparoids (a biomechanical insect-like race). This planet is apparently near the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Corneria is also a stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is one of the smaller stages but it makes for a great battlefield. The battlefield is actually Fox McCloud's flagship, the Great Fox in flight over a large city. Corneria is a planet in the Lylat System. The planet and system is from the Star Fox series.
The Great Fox's front two batteries open fire alot and if any unlucky player is caught in its path of destruction, he/she will be KO'd. Also, Star Fox's team will occasionally show-up in Arwing Fighters and open fire, on anyone. Sometimes Fox's rival Wolf, and his team showup and open fire also. Although they never show up at the same time.
The Melee stage reappears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a Past Stage. The planet Corneria also appears in the background of the Lylat Cruise stage.
