Sassy Squatch is a large snowman-like monster and the fourth boss in the game DK: King of Swing.
Sassy Squatch is found in the level Sassy Squatch's Lair, located in the Ice World. Due to the fact that Sassy is completely covered in an armor of ice it was all but impenetrable to Donkey Kong's attacks. In order to injure Sassy, Donkey had to throw bombs into sub-zero monsters mouth, all while avoiding contact with Sassy as the monster's very touch could freeze Donkey solid.
After being blasted multiple times by Donkey, Sassy would begin to move at a faster pace and also start spitting explosive chunks of ice. After a long, grueling battle Donkey managed to take down Sassy and claim the golden medal the monster yeti was guarding, and then travels to King K. Rool's ship to obtian back more medals.
Trivia
- The name "Sassy Squatch" is a pun on "Sasquatch", a less used name for the legendary monster Bigfoot.
- Sassy Squatch is not the first yeti to appear in the Donkey Kong Universe; a recurring character named Eddie the Mean Old Yeti on the Donkey Kong Country animated series was. Despite being the same species, Eddie and Sassy look extremely different.
