Elephant Mario[1] is the form Mario takes upon collecting an Elephant Fruit in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. While in this form, the character is transformed into a plump, anthropomorphic elephant, and they are able to attack and defeat enemies such as Goombas by swinging their trunk at them, similar to Raccoon Mario with his tail.[2][3] They can also break through blocks from below or the side, store water in their trunk and spray it on flowers, and dash across two-block-wide gaps.[4] During a Balloon Wonder Effect, someone in their Elephant form will not change appearance visually, but will still float. Transforming into the Elephant form also has an effect on the level's music, changing the lead instrument to brass horns.[5]

Unlike most other powerup transformations in the Mario series, this form transforms the character's physical body instead of being a suit of some kind. All characters lose their hair, though Mario and Luigi keep their mustaches, the princesses have their hair color on their ears and tails, and all four of them keep their eyebrows; Mario, Luigi, and Blue Toad are gray in color, Yellow Toad is yellow, Peach and Toadette are pink, and Daisy is orange. Toadette also loses her pigtails, while every character's shoes disappear. Elephant Peach and Daisy keep their earrings and have heart-shaped soles on their feet.
