Nids are large spider-like creatures encountered in the game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
Nids are only encountered in the area Kremwood Forest, where they are featured prominantly in the level "Springin' Spiders". Nids constantly hop up and down, almost never stopping; Dixie and Kiddy Kong can take advantage of a Nid's hopping by leaping on a plank of wood located on a Nid's back, Nid will then allow the Kongs to reach greater heights.
