Torches are stone objects that appear in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, which typically carry either a blue or red flame. Sometimes, extinguishing ignited torches by spinning can release a coin. When torches do not possess a lit flame, lighting them using the Fire Mario/Luigi transformation can open up a new pathway within the galaxy.
