A DK Barrel.

DK Barrels are a type of Barrels that can be found in just about every level in the Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land series. They contain the partner of the Kong currently being played with. In Donkey Kong Country, these barrels can also be used as weapons on enemies or for revealing hidden rooms.

In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, DK Barrels were usually found in midair and couldn't be thrown at anything. The only exception to the DK Barrels in those two games was that some DK Barrels could be found in treasure chests in Donkey Kong Country 2, these ones were throwable.

There is a cheat in Donkey Kong Country 2 and Donkey Kong Country 3 where DK Barrels along with the Star Barrels can be deactivated. When the DK Barrels are disabled, a level is started automatically with two Kongs.

In Donkey Kong 64 DK Barrels were replaced by Tag Barrels.

In Mario Party 8, when a player steps on a DK space, he/she encounters Donkey Kong, who bursts out of a DK barrel.
