The Blue Seven is a kart in the Mario Kart series, appearing in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour. As its name states, the kart is a blue roadster with a number "7" imprinted on its wing and it is seen as a counterpart to the Honeycoupe from Mario Kart Wii. It has a white stripe running through its hood and the user's emblem imprinted on the sides and hood. It contains headlights and taillights which illuminate in darker areas. The Blue Seven slightly resembles the Streamliner from Mario Kart DS and the real-life Chapparal 2E, albeit with a lower positioned wing. The Blue Seven's name comes from the game it originates from, Mario Kart 7.

History

Mario Kart 7

The Blue Seven debuts in Mario Kart 7 as an unlockable kart part. It offers a speed and weight boost, while hindering acceleration and handling. In fact, it is tied with the B Dasher and Bolt Buggy for having the lowest acceleration of all kart bodies, while being tied with the B Dasher, Bruiser, and Zucchini for having the highest speed of all kart bodies. On an additional note, the Blue Seven is the fastest kart body to not have a negative impact on the sea speed stat. Additionally, this along with the Bruiser and Zucchini are the fastest kart bodies not to have a negative effect on the off-road stat. The kart shares the same engine sound with the Pipe Frame which is a DOHC V-6 from the Honda NSX (first generation).

Mario Kart Tour

The Blue Seven returns in Mario Kart Tour, introduced in the Ice Tour. It is classified as a Super kart, and uses the Standard tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The Blue Seven increases the duration of Rocket Start boosts and the number of points earned for performing a Rocket Start. The game introduces a red-orange variant referred to as the Super 1, which is also classified as a Super kart.
