- A live stream of the grand opening of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood was announced to occur on February 15, 2023 at 20:00 PT.
- In a Nintendo Direct presentation broadcast on February 8, 2023, Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass was confirmed to release in the spring of 2023, adding a new Yoshi's Island course and Birdo as a playable character (pictured). Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, including Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Wario Land 3, and Mario Kart: Super Circuit, were also announced to release on the Nintendo Switch via the newly introduced Game Boy - Nintendo Switch Online and Game Boy Advance - Nintendo Switch Online services.
- Piranha Plant Cove, a new course for the Mario Kart series, debuted in Mario Kart Tour in the 2023 Exploration Tour.
- In the United States, McDonald's has launched Happy Meal toys promoting The Super Mario Bros. Movie from December 27, 2022 through January 23, 2023.
