- In Wario Master of Disguise, there is an area in Allergia Gardens with a missing tile in the ceiling (pictured).
- In Super Mario Odyssey, if the player remains idle for long enough, Mario will fall asleep. If he is in an open area, a bird will eventually rest on his nose.
- Oil Drum Alley is the only level in the Donkey Kong Country series to have a Bonus Level hidden inside another Bonus Level.
- The third hole of Peach's Castle Grounds in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour has a mountain that resembles Mount Rushmore, with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Princess Peach in place of the presidents.
