World 7-2 is the second level of World 7 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This level features floating Water Balls needed to progress through the level. This is the only level in the game to feature regular Chain Chomps.

Layout

Mario begins the level near a Chain Chomp, three ? Blocks, two bricks, two coins, and a Water Ball. The middle ? Block contains a Super Mushroom. Mario must use the Water Ball to get up to a high surface, then use two more Water Balls to get across a gap. After a Bill Blaster which rises out from below, Water Balls begin to move differently, with some containing coins. Following three Chain Chomps, Mario reaches the Checkpoint Flag. There are then several Chain Chomps before more Water Balls Mario must use to cross over while avoiding Bullet Bills. The final section contains more Water Balls and Bill Blasters before Mario reaches the pole.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Right before the Checkpoint Flag, the first Star Coin is blocked off by many bricks. Mario and co. must free the nearest Chain Chomp while it is facing to the right to destroy the blocks and collect the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: Near two ? Blocks and a brick is a green Warp Pipe partially concealed by clouds. This pipe leads to a hidden area with several Water Balls. The second Star Coin is floating above the third one.
  • Star Coin 3: After emerging from the exit pipe leading to the hidden area, Mario and co. must head to the left to find the third Star Coin in a small valley guarded by two Chain Chomps.
