As with all world boss fights in Donkey Kong Country, the fight takes place in an arena filled with bananas; if the player enters with a single Kong, a DK Barrel is instantly broken to ensure they start the fight with both Donkey and Diddy. Two points with regenerating barrels exist, left and right of the arena's center; only one regenerating barrel exists in the center in the Game Boy Color version.

Queen B. begins by flying anti-clockwise around the level area. As with the smaller Zingers, if a Kong comes into direct contact with her, they will take damage and either run away or lose a life, depending on whether they still have their partner. If she is hit with a barrel, she will turn red and move in a vertical wave from the top to the bottom of the screen, in the direction she is facing, turning only at the edges of the arena. During this phase, Queen B. is invulnerable and the Kongs simply have to avoid her until she reverts to yellow.

They can attack her by picking up a Vine Barrel generated either left or right of the arena (in the Game Boy Color release, a barrel only generates in the center of the arena). While she is red, Queen B. is invulnerable, and the Kongs must avoid her until she turns back to yellow.

Once she has returned to normal, she will move slightly faster, and the Kongs must repeat the process; Depending on where she was on the screen and the direction she was facing, this may reverse her circumnavigation. After five Barrel hits, Queen B. is defeated and the Kongs recover a Giant Banana.
After reverting to normal, Queen B. continues moving around the arena. Depending on where Queen B. was on-screen and the which direction she faced, this may reverse her circumnavigation. For every hit that she takes, Queen B. moves around the arena faster. After being hit by five barrels, Queen B. is defeated and the Kongs recover a Giant Banana.

Game Boy Advance
The battle is different in the Game Boy Advance remake. Queen B. always moves around in a wavy motion, regardless of being yellow or red, although she only follows after the Kongs while yellow. While Queen B. still turns red after being hit by a Vine Barrel, she also summons some Zingers to guard her. Instead of regenerating in a specific location, the Vine Barrel falls to a random place in the arena. The Kongs must defeat the Zingers around Queen B. so for her to turn back to yellow, allowing the Kongs to attack her. Also, right after hitting Queen B., Donkey Kong can quickly defeat the Zingers before they spread around Queen B. by holding up a Vine Barrel at her.
In the Game Boy Advance port of Donkey Kong Country, Queen B., while red, is protected by normal Zingers arranged in various patterns. These Zingers must be destroyed before Queen B. can be attacked again. Also, she always moves in a wavy motion, regardless of her coloration and vulnerability, though she only homes into the Kongs while yellow. Her arena has only one barrel at a time, which falls from above in a random location, unlike the two respawning barrels in the original version.

Overview

Like other boss fights in the game, Bumble B. Rumble takes place in an arena filled with bananas. If the player enters with a single Kong, a DK Barrel is instantly broken so that both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong enter the battle.

Queen B. begins by flying counterclockwise around the area. The Kongs get injured if they come in contact with Queen B. They can attack her by picking up a Vine Barrel generated either left or right of the arena (in the Game Boy Color release, a barrel only generates in the center of the arena). If Queen B. is hit by a barrel, she turns red and moves in a vertical wave from top to the bottom, only changing direction when reaching an edge of the arena. While she is red, Queen B. is invulnerable, and the Kongs must avoid her until she turns back to yellow.
