Balloons are items from Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are always seen floating in the air and are found in the Wild Glide Galaxy, Tall Trunk Galaxy and Fleet Glide Galaxy. The Balloons come in five different colours: red, blue, yellow, green and purple. Popping one of these Balloons give the player five Star Bits. In the galaxies where Mario controls Fluzzard, Fluzzard must glide towards them to pop them and get the Star Bits inside. In the Tall Trunk Galaxy, Balloons only appear in the mission "Tall Trunk's Big Slide". While sliding down the slide, Mario must jump to pop the balloons.
