If you believe a page should be deleted please add it to this category by adding the following template tag:

:{{[[Template:tobedeleted|tobedeleted]]}}
To add this category to a page or file that should be deleted, use {{tem|delete}}. However, please remember to orphan the page or file from the mainspace ''before'' adding the delete template (i.e. remove all links to the page or file first, except for links on talk pages, userspace or archives, which can be left broken). Only use {{tem|delete}} when it is clear that a page should be deleted (such as vandalism, sockpuppet talk pages, unused file redirects, one-liner articles, etc). If there is room for discussion, use {{tem|delete-request}} instead, and do not orphan the page until a decision is made.

If there is consensus to delete the article on the talk page, then please be sure to remove any links from any other article (by clicking on the "What links here" link in the left-hand sidebar and removing links on the pages listed) so the page won't unwittingly be created again.
In cases where there is likely to be a lengthy debate over the deletion of a page, or when a major article (with a large size, long history, many links leading to it, etc.) is being considered for deletion, a [[MarioWiki:Proposals#Talk page proposals|talk page proposal]] should be conducted instead of only marking the page with {{tem|delete-request}}. The {{tem|delete}} template can also be used on [[MarioWiki:Personal files|personal files]] that are no longer used on a user page. See the [[MarioWiki:Deletion policy|deletion policy]] for more information.

In some situations, it is helpful to add a note to the article's talk page regarding the deletion notice. To do this, you can use the {{[[Template:tobedeleted|tobedeleted]]}} template tag too.
[[MarioWiki:Administrators|Administrators]] check this page on a regular basis, so there is no need to contact one and specifically ask for them to delete any backlogs that may accumulate in the meantime. However, if a specific page needs to be deleted to make room for moving a different article to that title, if something needs to be deleted as part of a passed proposal, or if there are other time-sensitive matters involved, contacting an admin to delete the pages or files in question as soon as possible is perfectly acceptable. __HIDDENCAT__ __EXPECTUNUSEDCATEGORY__

[[Category:Maintenance]]
Sometimes, a page or a talk page needs to be deleted quickly and without discussion; for example, one created as an act of vandalism. Since the wording of <nowiki>{{tobedeleted}}</nowiki> does not apply in this case, especially on a talk page when the accompanying article is valid, the {{[[Template:delete|delete]]}} template should be used. A reason for deletion should be incorporated into the template. To do this, type in <nowiki>{{delete|</nowiki>''Reason''}}. Possible reasons include ''trolling'', ''patent nonsense'', ''created with spam'', ''unnecessary opinion'', and ''duplicate image''.

This category is for pages and files (including talk pages, templates, and categories) that are to be deleted.

To add this category to a page or file that should be deleted, use {{delete}}. However, please remember to orphan the page or file from the mainspace before adding the delete template (i.e. remove all links to the page or file first, except for links on talk pages, userspace or archives, which can be left broken). Only use {{delete}} when it is clear that a page should be deleted (such as vandalism, sockpuppet talk pages, unused file redirects, one-liner articles, etc). If there is room for discussion, use {{delete-request}} instead, and do not orphan the page until a decision is made.

In cases where there is likely to be a lengthy debate over the deletion of a page, or when a major article (with a large size, long history, many links leading to it, etc.) is being considered for deletion, a talk page proposal should be conducted instead of only marking the page with {{delete-request}}. The {{delete}} template can also be used on personal files that are no longer used on a user page. See the deletion policy for more information.

Administrators check this page on a regular basis, so there is no need to contact one and specifically ask for them to delete any backlogs that may accumulate in the meantime. However, if a specific page needs to be deleted to make room for moving a different article to that title, if something needs to be deleted as part of a passed proposal, or if there are other time-sensitive matters involved, contacting an admin to delete the pages or files in question as soon as possible is perfectly acceptable.
